Designing Your Physical Future

Your Customized Exercise Plan

How to slowly. but surely, make exercise a part of your life!

You have heard it before, exercise is a key component of a healthy life. Study after study has shown that a regular exercise program can help to offset cancer, heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), Type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, joint deterioration and replacement, stress, anxiety and depression, obesity, insomnia, low libido, low energy and the list goes on and on.

Many of the issues we attribute to aging are actually due to misuse of our bodies and lack of care. The recurring theme found in most scientific studies on aging is this: if you want to extend your life span and stay healthy, maintain a regular exercise program.

Knowing the right kinds of exercise for you is critical to your injury-free success and the long-term maintenance of your body.  Many factors must be taken into consideration when developing your customized exercise program.  Your consultation with Elizabeth regarding exercise and its potential in your life will touch on:

  • What you already do for exercise, including what sports you play
  • How much time you spend exercising each week
  • Time constraints based on your weekly schedule
  • The variety of exercise programs that are right for you
  • Strength training
  • Aerobics
  • Exercise vs. activity
  • Your injury history
  • Stretching, flexibility and balance

Exercise is what will keep your body young and strong, provided you are doing the right kinds of exercise, in the right order and in the right quantity that is best for you!  It’s about giving a special gift to your body, not just asking your body to do whatever you would like it to do.  It’s about respecting your body’s mechanics for the incredible machine that it is and working with it, not against it.

Together, you and Elizabeth will create your personalized exercise plan. This plan is one the most critical pieces in your successful transition into a long and healthy life where you have control over what your body can do, not the other way around.

Not sure what program is the best fit?
